2025 Area Easter Sunrise Services

Folks looking to experience an Easter Sunrise service in Cherokee County can visit sites in Jacksonville or Rusk for traditional services offered by local ministerial alliance groups.

JACKSONVILLE. A 6:30 a.m. service at Love’s Lookout features the Rev. Patrick Evans, senior pastor of the local First Methodist Church who is this year’s guest pastor. Music by the Out of the Boat band also will be featured during the service. Love’s Lookout is located at 43822 U.S. Highway 69, north of Jacksonville.

RUSK. A live Easter story portraying Christ’s last days commences at 7 a.m. at the Texas State Railroad Park Rusk Depot, located at 535 Park Road 76 in Rusk, off U.S. Highway 84, west of the city.

The services are free and open to the public.
