Rusk council to consider switching to November election period

RUSK – Local residents are invited to weigh in on a proposal to change the city's annual general election date from May to November, by offering their opinion during a 5:30 p.m. public hearing scheduled Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Rusk City Hall downtown.
The council is scheduled to vote on a related resolution after the hearing, according to a meeting agenda.
City leaders also will recognize Rusk Eagle Team 14U for their advanced play in baseball earlier this summer; the team is among the top four in the nation.
