Mrs. Evileen Nolley Keels

Mrs. Evileen Nolley Keels was born on March 5, 1930 to Albert and Ella Nolley in Wells, TX. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2024 at the age of 94 in Rusk, TX. Evileen married Ernest Keels on August 1, 1948 he preceded her in death March 17, 2015.

Evileen graduated from Athens Junior College as a Nurse Technician. She enjoyed a career working as a Nurse Technician at The Rusk State Hospital. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Evileen enjoyed many years with Ernest traveling, raising cattle, serving their community, and eating catfish.

Evileen is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Ella Nolley, husband Ernest Keels, sister Addie Leoma Nolley, sister Dorothy Covington, twin sister Helen Goolsbee, sister-in-law Bobby Lynn Nolley, brothers-in-law Larry Rabb and R.A. Covington, and grandson Daniel Keels. She is survived by her siblings Frazier Nolley of Jacksonville, TX, Drusilla Rabb of Shreveport, LA, Larie Stewart and husband Grady of Tyler, TX, Albert Nolley and wife Anna of Rusk, TX, Veda Little and husband Andy of Mesquite, TX. She is also survived by her son Dan Keels and wife Molly of Alto, TX, grandchildren: Rebecca Osborne and husband Gary of Murphy, TX, JD Speed and wife Lacy of McKinney, TX, Jennifer Hughes and husband David of Rusk, TX, great grandchildren: Gavin Osborne and wife Madison of Johnson, AR, Garrett Osborne of Murphy, TX, Cooper Keels of Murphy, TX, Noah and Logan Speed of McKinney, TX, Lacey Hyden of Rusk, TX, great-great grandchild Truly Grace Hyden of Rusk, TX, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, 221 West 5th Street, Rusk, TX 75785 from 4-6 pm on Sunday, July 14,2024. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Jack White officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery.
