Juanita Doris Holden Rogers

Juanita Doris Holden Rogers, 87 of Rusk passed away April 23, 2024 in Rusk. She was born May 2, 1936 in Palestine, TX to Henry Clifford Holden and Prudice Terry Holden. She loved animals, kids and living the country life. She has lived in Rusk since 1945 and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church since 1950. She worked for the Rusk State Hospital and retired in 1996 after over 20 years of service.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Thomas Rogers. She is survived by her church family and many friends. We would like to say a special “Thank you” to the staff and caregivers at Heart to Heart Hospice and the Arbors for the special care that was given her.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Lowe’s Chapel Cemetery with Bro. James Palmer and Bro. Rodney McDuff officiating. The Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 400 Academy Street, Rusk, TX 75785. Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, TX.
