Wells: Boil Water notice canceled

On November 28, 2023, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system, CITY OF WELLS ID# 0370004, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to a broken valve being replaced, causing a drop in the water pressure below 0 PSI, causing a interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.

Location: All customers living on Booker St.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of November 30, 2023.
