IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR

Many residents of local nursing homes don’t have family members to give them presents, so each year a Christmas Elf makes sure that no one is left out. This elf remains anonymous to make the gifts all that more special. You can help by purchasing a few of the things listed on the outside of the boxes in Rusk at the Family Dollar and Dollar General, and putting them in. Socks, shirts, pajamas and gowns, slippers, snacks, coloring and puzzle books – all these make wonderful gifts. This small gesture could bring a smile to someone who might not get anything else for Christmas.
