David V. Eide, Jr.

David V. Eide, Jr. aka “Rooster” passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Jacksonville, TX. Dave was born on February 2, 1970, in Oroville, CA to David V. Eide, Sr. and Barbara Sheffield Eide.

Dave worked many years driving 18 wheelers across the country. His love for the road was not limited to big rigs. He loved the open road on his motorcycle with a passion. He could often be found in his shop tinkering on his bike.

Dave moved to Texas in 2008 where he met his wife, Jessica Hill Eide. They have been married 15 years and have two wonderful daughters together, Eiryan & Kayleigh; sons, Justin & Jeremiah Hill. Dave is also survived by his oldest daughter, Acacia Eide and a son, Samuel Tripp, both of California. Dave always had a special place in his heart for his nephew, Zachary Sanchez & family. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, sister & brother-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Dave will always be remembered for his love of Great Danes, loud bikes, BBQ skills, and politically incorrect honesty. His loyalty to those he loved and cared about was unmatched.
