Naomi Beasley Berry

Naomi Beasley Berry, 91 of the Sardis Community passed away April 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 8, 1931, in the Sardis Community to Charlie and Willie Mae Berry Beasley. She married Jack Leon Berry December 2, 1947 in Rusk. He preceded her in death April 28, 2019. She enjoyed fishing and loved caring for her animals. She is a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Scott’s Sewing Factory and at the Rusk State Hospital until her retirement.

She is survived by her son, Danny Berry and his wife Holly of Rusk; daughter, Kathie Davis of Rusk; brother, Charles Beasley of Rusk; sister, Nell Grimes of Houston; grandchildren: Stephen Berry, Eric Berry, Kim Lovelace, Ellaine Day, Shelle Kincaid; a number of great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 72 years, Jack Leon Berry.
A time of visitation with her family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Wallace Thompson Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 11, with Bro. Mic Guess officiating. Interment will follow at the Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery. Services are being held under the direction of the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
