John Zachariah (Zac) Bryant

John Zachariah (Zac) Bryant, 51, of Rusk, Texas passed away on March 23, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. Zac was born February 26, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas to Linda Ann Lewis and John Ed Bryant. He dedicated over twenty-five years of his life to serving his community as a firefighter. Zac enjoyed disc golf, playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Atoy Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Veleda Ermel; dad, Philip Ermel; stepfather, Richard Adams; and cousin, Nathan Appleton.

Zac is survived by his wife, Teresa Bryant of Rusk, Texas; son and daughter, Brackston and Lindie Hildebrand of Rusk, Texas; son and daughter, Colbe and Dakota Bryant of Rusk, Texas, son, Jesse Bryant of Rusk, Texas; sister and brother, Karen and Patrick Napoli of The Colony, Texas; brothers Jason and Josh Bryant of Houston, Texas; brother and sister James and Ashley Scruggs of College Station, Texas; and his stepmother, Teresa Young of Bryan, Texas. Grandchildren, Lillian Hildebrand, Ellie Hildebrand, Charlotte Hildebrand, Cotter Hildebrand, Cooper Bryant and Bo Bryant.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Rusk, with Brother Mike Bradford officiating. Memorials in Zac’s honor may be made to the Rusk Volunteer Fire Department, 219 S. Main Street, Rusk, Texas 75785.
