Graduation ceremonies held in Cherokee County this month

Area schools and educational programs are planning graduation ceremonies this month throughout the county on the following dates:
SATURDAY, MAY 10
• Jacksonville College will host a 10 a.m. ceremony at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville
FRIDAY, MAY 16
• Alto High School’s graduation exercises begin at 6 p.m. at the AHS Gym
• Jacksonville High School will host an 8 p.m. ceremony at the Historic Tomato Bowl
SATURDAY, MAY 17
• The BMA Seminary commencement begins 2 p.m. at Dorman chapel on the seminary campus
FRIDAY, MAY 23
• Wells High School’s graduation ceremony begins at 6 p.m. in the WHS Gym
• New Summerfield ISD will host a 7 p.m. ceremony at the district coliseum
• Troup High School will host an 8 p.m. ceremony at Tiger Stadium
• Rusk High School’s commencement begins 8 p.m. at Eagle Stadium

• Piney Woods Homeschool will host an 11 a.m. graduation ceremony at Peoples Church in Jacksonville
• Jacksonville College will host a 10 a.m. ceremony at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville
