Ethel Glen Parsons

A funeral service for Ethel Glen Parsons, age 91, of Rusk is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Nunnally officiating. Burial will follow at Lowes Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Parsons passed away September 20, 2021. She was born December 4, 1929 in Rusk to the late Joe and Matilda Tannery Kennedy. Mrs. Parsons was a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Rusk and also of Sharman’s Sewing Club. She was a retired dairy farmer and enjoyed quilting, embroidery, sewing, reading and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas Parsons; daughter, Glenda Jo Parsons; daughter-in-law, Rita Parsons and great grandson, Cooper Low. She is survived by two sons, Chris Parsons of Alto, TX, Don Parsons and wife Pam of Rusk; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and David Parsons of Rusk, Betty and Darvin Collins of Rusk; special friends, Belinda Johnson and Lesa Fannin; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Ben Parsons, Dustin Parsons, Caleb Lenard, Chip Parsons, Logan Lenard and Ryan Lenard. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home.
