Publication of meeting notices

The Cherokeean Herald publishes agendas for upcoming meetings held by local government entities (municipal and state), school districts and other governing bodies online at www.thecherokeean.org as well as on our Facebook page.

According to the Texas Open Meetings Act, local government entities and schools are required to post agendas for public meetings at least 72 hours before they begin.

We also publish agendas in our newspaper when they fall after our Wednesday publication date (i.e., the meeting falls the day of or the days after).
