Lease Blackshire

Funeral services for Lease Blackshire, 73, of Jacksonville and formerly of Alto will be Saturday, May 16, at 1 PM at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church near Alto. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery. Lease passed away May 6, 2026, in Jacksonville, Texas. 

Lease was born in Alto, February 27, 1953, to Forrest Blackshire and Katherine Ross Blackshire. Lease was Baptist and had worked at Lufkin Foundries. He had attended school in Alto and had lived in Jacksonville for the last several years. 

Lease was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers: L.B., A.W., Larry, Elglory, Forrest and J.R. Blackshire; and 4 sisters: Addie Mae, Mary Lee, Mary Francis and Ollie Mae. 

He is survived by brother Vernon Lee Blackshire and sisters Katherine Willis and Mary Ann Albro.
