The annual meeting of the El Camino Real de Los Tejas National Historic Trail Association (ElCaT) was held in Alto May 2, hosted by the Cherokee County Historical Commission. The ElCaT is made up of 12 board members each representing a different region of Texas through which the El Camino Real traverses.  A special gratitude gift was presented to District 3 State Senator Robert Nichols for his assistance with legislative funding for preservation of the trail. Photo by Becky Whisenant
