Wells baseball advances to Round 2 playoffs

The Wells High School baseball team has advanced to Round 2 in playoffs, securing their berth with back-to-back wins games against the Oakwood Panthers. Game 1 of the bi-district round was played April 29 in Tyler, with the Pirates sailing past Oakwood 14-1. 

Monday’s Game 2 score was 8-4, Pirates. Wells goes up against the Apple Springs Eagles for Round 2, in a best of three series that school officials said are scheduled May 7-8 in Central, with game times to be announced.
