Heartfelt thank you During Thursday's Rusk Council meeting, Mayor Ben Middlebrooks (third from left) recognized members from Covenant Church of East Texas’ Committed Men's Group for their March 14 assistance in helping clear debris at Jim Hogg Park left behind by a late January storm. Pastor Jeremy Driver recognized city employees Neill Holcomb and Thomas Adams for overseeing the pre-work done by city employees that allowed church volunteers to step in and do their part. “The only reason we were able to do that is because of what you did,” Driver said.
