Patsy Jo Sherrill

A funeral service for Patsy Jo Sherrill, 77, of Rusk, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Jim Baum officiating. 

Patsy was born February 6, 1949, in Fort Worth, to Paul and Margaret Egenbacher and passed away February 22, 2026, in Jacksonville.

Patsy had a loving, giving heart that made people feel cared for just by being near her. Patsy adored her animals and treated them like family. She was so much fun to be around, the kind of person who could turn an ordinary moment into something memorable. Her laugh was bright and contagious, the sort that made you smile before you even realized it.

Above all, Patsy was a devoted wife, steadfast and loyal in the way she loved. Her warmth, her humor, and her gentle spirit leave a legacy that will be remembered with deep affection by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Egenbacher.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Rocky Sherrill, of Rusk; daughters, Jennifer Williams, of Burleson, and Michele Ingram, of Crowley; sister, Paula Robinson of Fort Worth; sisters-in-law, Kimberly Campbell and husband, Kenneth, of Red Oak; Shelly Kirkland and husband, Scott, of Big Spring; Kelly Baum and husband, Jim, of Albany: and brother-in-law, Kevin Waller, of Abilene.

Rather than customary condolences, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
