Jacksonville ISD Remains Closed Wednesday
Our administrators have been out driving bus routes and are surprised by how much danger remains on icy roads. While main roads are in better condition, freezing temperatures tonight will cause many areas to refreeze. According to news sources, Cherokee County has been one of the areas most affected by this ice storm.
School entrances are still slippery and unsafe, and we continue to receive intermittent power-outage alerts on some campuses.
With input from many sources, we have decided to remain closed to ensure that all students, bus drivers, parents, and staff stay safe. All games will be rescheduled as well. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to put safety first.
A healthy Cherokee County requires great community news.
