Darlene Lillian (Beasley) Pruett, 74, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.
Born on December 23, 1951, in Rusk, Texas, Darlene lived a life grounded firmly in her Christian faith. Her faith guided her choices, strengthened her through life’s challenges, and anchored her hope in every season. From an early age, her life was marked by deep conviction and an unwavering work ethic. In her younger years, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children, never shying away from responsibility or sacrifice.
Darlene was outspoken, direct, and unafraid to say exactly what she thought—a trait as defining as it was memorable. Her strength, determination, and honesty were qualities she passed on to her children and remain evident in their lives today.
Together with her husband, Todd, Darlene raised fifteen children. Her legacy is woven deeply into the lives of the many children she raised and the family she helped build—a testament to a life devoted to others.
In her later years, as her health declined, Darlene spoke openly of her longing for the life to come. She found comfort in her faith and in the promise of heaven, where she believed suffering would be replaced with peace and joy.
Darlene leaves behind a large and enduring family legacy. Her memory will continue to guide those who were blessed to call her wife, mother, family member, or friend.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the faith she shared and the family she built—a legacy that will endure for generations.
In accordance with her wishes, Darlene will be cremated, and a service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
