Vondilee Gholston Collins
A graveside service for Vondilee Gholston Collins, 88, of Alto will be Sunday November 16th, 2025 at 2pm at Lynches Chapel Cemetery near Alto. A visitation will be Saturday November 15th, 2025 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
She lived in Alto since 1952, building a home in Alto in 1963. She grew up in Houston, graduating from Jefferson Davis High School in 1949. She married her husband Kenneth O. Collins on July 16th, 1955. Together they operated Collins Packing Co. She also operated Vonda’s Flower Shoppe for several years. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents Zack and Verleen Gholston, husband Kenneth, and brother Zane Gholston.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth Lee and Misty Collins of Alto, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law Rondalee and Quinon Pierce of Alto, Texas and Natilee James of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren Krista Wiley, Clint Pierce, Alyssa Scott, Bridgett Burdette, Cade James, Lance Collins, Darren Collins, and Craig Collins; great grandchildren Carter, Cami, Olivia, Amelia, Annie, Addilyn, Hadleigh, Carson, Kinley, Riley, Kayce, Knox, Emeri , Wyatt, Wrenley, Everlee, Bexley, Remi, Rowdy, Hagan, Weston, and Chase.
