Eagle player injured in 9/19 game

RUSK – A local high school student injured during Friday’s football match between Rusk and Troup is reported to be doing all right, according to Rusk ISD Athletic Director Cody Welch.

The youth – whom Welch did not identify – was transported by ambulance to an area hospital after sustaining an injury during the Sept. 19, 2025, game at Troup Tiger Stadium.

A photo shared by Trinity County Media on its social media page showed players, coaches and cheerleaders joining in prayer over the youth, whom the outlet identified as Aiden Adams (#12), while a second photo showed others praying over the ambulance that transported Adams for treatment.
