Free box fans provided for local citizens
RUSK – A summer project to keep residents cool will provide free box fans to local citizens.
According to a Facebook announcement on the Thomas Jefferson Rusk Rotary Club page, two local businesses – Harry’s Building Materials and Wallace-Thompson True Value Hardware – are providing the fans “to help those in need beat the extreme heatwave we’ve been experiencing.”
Eligible residents are invited to pick up a Lasso 3-Speed Box fan at either Harry’s (361 W. 6th St.) or Wallace-Thompson (385 N. Main St.) during regular business hours.
“Let’s ensure these fans go to those who truly need them during the extreme heat,” the Rotary post stated. “Together, let’s help those in need. Stay safe, stay cool and spread the word!”
