Jenny Lind Jared Meyer, 91, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025.
Born on January 3, 1934, in Lake Creek, Texas, Jenny was the beloved daughter of J.P. and Irene Jared. Jenny met her husband, Earl, at Stephen F. Austin State University. She and Earl married in 1953 and had two daughters, Debra and Lana. Earl was a coach, principal and superintendent and she enjoyed being involved in the schools. They move to Caldwell in 1971 where they built a loving home and lasting legacy.
Jenny was a devoted member of Caldwell Methodist Church where she served on various boards. She was also a past member of the Lady Lions Club. Her kindness, steady presence, and generous spirit touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Earl Meyer.
She is survived by her brother James Jared; daughters, Debra Yarborough and Lana Glidewell; her granddaughters, Brittany Ofczarzak and husband Erin, Ashley Weeks, Jessica Russell, Amanda Quinn, and Catherine Risse; and her great-grandchildren, Emory and Eli Ofczarzak of whom were her pride and joy; other great grand-children Thomas, Jacob and Emily Russell, Harrison and Cadence Quinn. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense happiness in their company.
Jenny will be remembered for her steady presence, quiet strength, and the warmth she brought to every room. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, her devotion to her family and her unwavering grace. Her memory will be cherished always by those who were blessed to know her.
