Ruby Darline Watson

Our dear mother, Darline went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 28, 2025 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was one week shy of 88 years old. 
Mom was born in Sacul, TX to Bill Ham and Ida Mae Stein Ham. She was the youngest of 7 children.
She stayed home and cared for her children, Tony and Christy until they started school. She then went to work for Cherokee County Federal Credit Union and then for Rusk ISD as the librarian and as a teacher’s aide. She also held many positions in her church, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, over the years. All the members loved her Italian cream cheesecake that she would bring to church functions. 
She left behind her son and daughter-in-law: Tony and Jackie Watson; daughter and son-in-law: Christy and Kevin Buchinger; three grands: Leigh Ann Pyle, April Torres and husband Terry, and Carter Bersano and wife Courtney. She also adored her four great grands: Meaghan Pyle, Madison Torres, Lillian Torres, and Eva Bersano. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Billy Watson; and her six siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Gentry Officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1:00 before the services, also at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Billy Perry, Bobby Perry, Kevin Watson, Tony Watson, Carter Bersano, Kevin Buchinger.
