Welch named as RISD's athletic director

Rusk ISD trustees named Cody Welch, an assistant head coach for Whitehouse ISD, as the new district Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, following a March 29 special meeting. The board unanimously approved Welch, an Arp naive, for the position, according to schools superintendent Grey Burton.
