RUSK – Young women from Alto, Rusk and Jacksonville in need of promwear or semi-formal dresses can browse the selection offered through “Project Sparkle,” between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. this Saturday, March 15, at The Ambition Studio, 12977 U.S. Highway 84 in Rusk.
“Come browse our large selection of gently used prom and semi-formal dresses, and try on your dress in our boutique setting with friends and family,” said Project Sparkle officials.
Coordinated through the Rusk ISD Parent & Family Engagement Office, with assistance from Annie’s Closet – a Rusk-based non-profit organization that helps fostering families in Cherokee County – this inaugural event also offers shoes, jewelry and accessories to complete the outfit.
Light refreshments will be served, and various prom services are offered as prizes, including make-up and hair appointments, dinner for two at Roma Italian Bistro in Jacksonville, corsage and boutonniere, photo shoot packages, spray tan appointment, “ride in style” transportation for winner and friends – with dinner/prom pickup and drop off, and other prizes provided by a variety of sponsors.
