Helen Marie (Crews) Grimes

Helen Marie (Crews) Grimes passed peacefully from this earth on February 22, 2025.  Helen was born on January 13, 1935, in Cherokee County, to John Henry and Evalee Pursley Crews.  She graduated from Rusk High School in 1953 and married Jerry Grimes on Sept 26 of that same year.  
Helen was preceded in death by her parents John and Evalee Crews, siblings Woodrow Crews, Bernice Gambrell, Morris Crews, Lowell Crews, Georgia Doughty & Chester Crews.  
Left to cherish her memory are husband Jerry Grimes; sister Dorothy W. Tate; children Beverly (James) Moore, Michael Grimes, Cassandra Grimes, Dennis (Summar) Grimes, Tim (Stacy) Grimes & Paul (Amber) Grimes; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  
There will be a private Family Gathering on March 15th. Interment will be at Piney Grove Cemetery.
