Museum offers cultural history of Cherokee County

At the Museum Honoring the state’s first native governor, a special exhibit focusing on Governor Jim Hogg (1891-94) will include a special metal sculpture of Hogg displayed outside the Heritage Center of Cherokee County, Texas. The display includes two markers: One with a brief biography of Hogg, the other, a copy of an essay Hogg penned, “On the Future of Texas.” Courtesy photo
