Elizabeth Lou "Becky" Dial Halpain

Elizabeth Lou “Becky” Dial came to the end of life’s venture in Jacksonville, Texas on October 3, 2024. She began life’s venture in Crockett, Texas on November 6, 1948, the youngest of Adwin and Augna Dial’s four children.
Becky grew up a farm girl, surrounded by livestock and at times cotton fields. In school, her gregarious, outgoing and friendly personality kept her surrounded by friends. Ultimately, in high school she was elected cheerleader and football sweetheart along with being class favorite for three consecutive years. Later on, her talents and interest in art led to a degree in Art Education at the University of Texas at Tyler. At the age of 50, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned her teaching degree. Becky taught high school art until her retirement.
Elizabeth was a devoted member of the Methodist Church, embodying her faith through dedicated service and served as the hands and feet of God.
Elizabeth married Jerry Halpain and enjoyed 34 wonderful years together. She is survived by her brother Wayne Dial, along with her loving husband and three children: Lanier Tullos, Danny Tullos and Robert Hughes; stepdaughters Sara Lynne Miller and Tammy Mongillo. Along with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild and a second on the way. She was preceded in death by her brother, Winston Dial and sister Martha Safford and stepson Michael Todd Halpain.
Elizabeth was an avid gardener and reader, she found joy and tranquility in her hobbies, which enriched her life and those around her. Spending many peaceful hours at her home on Lake Stryker.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, 1:00 pm at Global Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Texas. Reverend Dale Jamerson and Reverend Jason Sutfin will conduct a short service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to Texas Ramp Project.
