Ester Earlene Sinclair
Ester Earlene Sinclair was born on September 25, 1944 in Cushing, Texas to Lester B. and Lessie Ellen Fuller. She was the third of five sisters. She attended Cushing School and graduated in 1963. After graduating, Earlene attended Henderson County Junior College where she completed her certificate for the Psychiatric Technician Program on August 26, 1966 while working at Rusk State Hospital as a psychiatric nurse technician.
Being a strong single mother to her three children, Earlene worked as a welder and a waitress. She eventually returned to Rusk State Hospital where met her beloved husband, Steven Sinclair.
On August 18, 1985, they embarked on their 39-year marriage together.
Earlene was a member at Big Rock Church where she was baptized.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for her kind and caring personality, commitment to her family and loving them “with all her heart.” She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, dancing to Elvis and cheering for her Dallas Cowboys.
Earlene passed away peacefully at her home in Cushing on September 27, 2024. She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Burse Fuller, her mother Lessie Ellen Fuller and her sister Ellen Kay Waddell.
Earlene is survived by her daughter, Tammy Nichols Rasberry and son-in-law Randy Rasberry; son, Terry Kyle Nichols and daughter-in-law Leslie Nichols and son, Ronald David Nichols; grandchildren Alyssa and Ryan Massingill, Aaron and Megan Nichols, Austin Rasberry, Taylor Nichols, Andrew and Madison Nichols, Riley Nichols, Lexie Nichols and Benjamin Nichols. Earlene is also survived by great-grandchildren Elizabeth Massingill, Wyatt Nichols, Nolan Massingill and Dawson Nichols; sisters Mardell Smelley, Janice Fuller Young and Marlynn Matlock; as well as many nieces, nephews who loved her as “Aunt Earlene.”
Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Massingill, Aaron Nichols, Austin Rasberry, Andrew Nichols, Benjamin Nichols, Arlen Ray Smelley, Jordan Newbury, Ty Matlock, Heath Murray and Logan Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dickie-Allen Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., in Cushing, TX, with Chaplain Maury Millican Officiating.
Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery.
