Kenneth Wayne Peloquin

Funeral Services for Kenneth Wayne Peloquin, 75, are scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, at First Baptist Church Rusk. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. He passed away on Monday, September 23rd, at 7:15 p.m.

He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on November 4, 1948, to Dorthy and Aston Peloquin. He lived his early years in Louisiana before moving to Texas, where he eventually relocated to Rusk, Texas, 51 years ago. He was an entrepreneur and small business owner before embarking on his second career in real estate. He loved working with people and was known for his charisma and humor.

Mr. Peloquin is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Grace Peloquin; son Heath Carlton Peloquin (wife Jennifer); daughter Heather Dawn McCoy (husband Kyle); and six grandchildren: Emilee, Ethan, Anna, Logan, Konnor, and Gracie. His siblings are Cheryl Purvis, Larry Peloquin (wife Bertha), and Mike Peloquin (wife Cindy). He is also survived by brother-in-law Mike Skiles (wife Beverly), sister-in-law Marion Skiles, and many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

A former deacon at First Baptist Church, he was a faithful servant of God in his business and personal life.  Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made to the Rusk First Baptist Church General Fund in his honor.   Arrangements are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, 221 W. 5th Street, Rusk, TX  75785
