We said we would never forget.

Patriot Day is a national day of remembrance to commemorate the victims of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and United Flight 93 which crashed in Sommerset County, PA.  The official death toll is listed at 2,977 but that doesn’t include the injured and those still suffering from effects of the toxic smoke after 23 years. The plane in PA was the result of passengers who had heard of the other crashes and chose to fight the hijackers and gave their lives to prevent another terroristic attack.  There is a wealth of information about the memorials and official observances online – so we won’t forget.
