Threat averted

Law enforcement continue to monitor activity at New Summerfield High School Sept. 3, 2024, after an individual was taken into custody early Tuesday afternoon for reported threats. 
The individual was taken into custody in another town; at noon Tuesday, the district was closed to pedestrian and parent traffic, but officials said students and staff were safe.
