Ayden Rose Burt
A Celebration of Ayden Rose Burt’s life, age 28, of Jasper, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2024 at the First Methodist Church of Jasper, Texas. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Harrison-Armstrong Cemetery, near Alto, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas.
Ayden passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas while participating in a training session hosted by the Texas High School Coaches Association.
A native of Houston, Texas and lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas, Ayden graduated from Jasper High School in 2014 and graduated from the University of Texas, Tyler with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in English. She is a third-generation coach and educator with the Jasper Independent School District. Ayden had been employed by the JISD since 2019. She taught English at both the high school and junior high school and served as a cheer and athletic coach. She enjoyed painting, crafts, being outside near the ocean, hunting, fishing and baking cakes. She was an extremely talented artist. Most of all, Ayden loved spending time with her family.
Ayden is survived by her father, David Burt; her mother, Honore Haltom Bailey and stepfather Marty Bailey; brothers, Kip Bailey and Jase Bailey; grandparents, Sammie and Billy Burt; grandmother, Donna Haltom; uncle, Donny Haltom and wife Heather and her cousins, Dylan Haltom, Lucas Haltom, Lance Haltom and Leia Haltom.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Terry “Pop” Haltom and her aunt Teri Haltom.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
