Mobile food pantry available June 1 in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE – A mobile food pantry offering fresh produce is scheduled to distribute items 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Jacksonville’s ISD John Alexander Gymnasium, 811 Farnsworth St.

The complimentary produce is made available the first Saturday of the month in Jacksonville, through a partnership between Jacksonville Care Clinic and East Texas Food Bank. Distribution goes through 11:30 a.m.

Jahaziel Lopez, Mobile Health Manager at Special Health Resources, said volunteers are welcome to help the morning of distribution. They may contact her at jlopez@shrt.net, or show up at Alexander Gym at 8:30 a.m. on any first Saturday the distribution is conducted.
