Rusk’s Thin Blue Line

Mayor Ben Middlebrooks administers the oath of office to members of the Rusk Police Department during a March 14, 2024, Rusk City Council meeting. Police Chief Scott Heagney said the department is now fully staffed at 12 officers, including himself. Prior to oath-taking, two sergeants and four officers were pinned during a brief ceremony at City Hall.
