Susan Coffey

A funeral service for Susan Coffey, 73, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Danny Vernon officiating. She will be laid to rest at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville and family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Susan was born on November 14, 1950, to Arthur Beasley Sr. and Patsy Ruth Emmons in Houston, Texas. Susan will be fondly remembered as a woman who loved and adored her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who set a great example for others to see and follow. Susan was a strong woman and very active in her approach to life. She enjoyed the outdoors and always looked forward to her and Richard’s travels in the R.V. Susan was the perfect partner for Richard, and this was evident as they moved about the dance floors of Country and Western Music festivals. Susan was always prepared and willing to help others. She will be dearly missed by all her knew her.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Beasley Sr.; and stepfather, J.C. Hunt.

Left to cherish Susan’s memory are her loving husband, Richard Edward Coffey of Rusk; son, Russell Coffey of Rusk; and 2 granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Beasley Jr. and wife Sallie of Temple; sister Shirley Kemp of Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.
