Erma Maxine (Watson) Thielbar

Erma Maxine (Watson) Thielbar, age 77 of Manistee, peacefully passed away on Sunday December 17, 2023.

She was born on August 6, 1946, in Rusk, Texas, the daughter of the late Louie E. and Maxine (Crockett) Watson. She attended Steele School and Orchard View Schools in Muskegon, Michigan. On February 4, 1968, Erma married Robert George Thielbar in Muskegon and they shared 44 years together before Robert’s passing on February 26, 2012.

Erma was a nursing assistant at DeBores Nursing Home for 12 years before retiring.

In her spare time, Erma enjoyed going camping and fishing as well as bowling.

Erma is survived by her daughter Patricia Powell of Manistee; son Ricky Welch of Manistee; granddaughters Sara Miel of Manistee, Nikki Miel of Enid, OK, Jessica Randel of Center, TX, and Cheyenne Powell of Henderson, TX; grandson Robert Powell of Cadillac, MI; great-grandchildren Liliana Zungia of Enid, OK, and Kriss Randel of Center, TX; and many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Erma was preceded in death by her brother Jim Watson; sister Beverly Wagoner; and her grandmothers Boonie I. Begrd and Lucill Crockett.

According to her wishes, no services will be held.
