Dylan Thompson

Dylan Thompson, 28, of Maydelle passed away August 31, 2023. He was born August 4, 1995 in Palestine to Thomas and Rachel Thompson. He graduated from Rusk High School in 2014, and from TJC in 2016 with an Associate’s Degree in General Education w/HVAC Certification. Dylan married Ruby Alexa Ragon June 12, 2021 in Jacksonville. He enjoyed everything to do with hunting, fishing, playing video games, telling stories, and spending time with his daughter.

Dylan is survived by his wife: Ruby Ragon Thompson of Maydelle; daughter: Loralee Raye Thompson of Maydelle; parents: Thomas and Rachel Thompson of Maydelle; brother: Ben Thompson and wife Chelsea of Arlington and Wes Thompson of Maydelle; niece: Eisley Victorious Thompson; nephews: Johnny and Owen Thompson all of Arlington; father and mother-in-law: Bobby and Kristen Ragon of Mt. Selman; brother-in-law: Bobby “Bubba” Ragon of Mt. Selman; and his dog: Luna; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Johnny and Carolyn Thompson of Maydelle, Harold “Corky” Huffman of Palestine, Juliann Owens Domm of Tyler and their unborn child.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Rusk, with services to celebrate his life beginning at 11 with Bro. Michael Guess and Bro Brian Givens officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Nolan Thompson, Rayden Thompson, Chase Thompson, Trey Thompson, Andrew Lehman, Justus Morris, Honorary Pallbearers will be: Vernon Thompson, Arthur Thompson, Bobby Ragon, Bubba Ragon and Jeff Aaron. Arrangements are by Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, Texas.
