David Anthony Chase

David Anthony Chase, 69, of Rusk, TX passed away August 27, 2023 in Jacksonville. He was born October 29, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee to John Brittain New and Gloria Howerton New. Mr. Chase worked as a security officer and prison guard throughout his life until his retirement. He loved to watch old movies, go fishing, and read books.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria New of Rusk; brother, Scott New and wife Cindy of Sherwood, Arkansas; sister, Laura New of Kansas City, Mo; three nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Keith New.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, TX.
