Christmas card campaign underway in Rusk

by Staff reports

RUSK – Staff at The Arbors Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, located at 1884 Loop 343 in Rusk, have coordinated a Christmas card campaign that is sure to brings holiday cheer to residents there.

“We are often asked what people can do for our residents at Christmas time,” said Arbors administrator Cindy Eastepp. “We receive an outpouring of offers and it is truly appreciated.”

This year, however, “we wanted to bring smiles to all of the resident’s faces and what better way than to have a Christmas card sent to them,” she said. “We ask anyone who reads our page or who are involved in groups to send our residents a Christmas card. We will collect them and have a stocking hung on each resident’s door so they can get them delivered daily.

Fifty residents stay at The Arbors, and “we would love for each of them to get as many cards as possible,” she said. “Some of them don’t get out to travel, and this would be really fun for them … it would be awesome for them to have cards to open up.”

A drop box will be set up at the front entrance of building for those wishing to drop off cards, or they may be mailed to The Arbors, 1884 Loop 343, Rusk, TX 75785.
