Two area teams schedule bi-district games for Nov. 11

Two area teams have advanced to bi-district play, with football games scheduled this Friday in Ore City and Tyler.

The Troup Tigers will take on the Hooks Hornets in a 7:30 p.m. match Friday at Ore City High School’s Rebel Stadium, located at 100 Rebel St. in Ore City.

Tickets will be sold at the gates, which open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 students, $7 adults.

Meanwhile, the Rus Eagles’ match against the Gilmer Buckeyes is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium, located at 609 Fair Park Dr., near the Tyler Rose Garden.

Tickets will be sold electronically at https://athletics.tylerisd.org/HTtickets, with pre-sale costs of $4 students and $7 adults through Nov. 10. On game day, all tickets are $7, also sold electronically, with no cash sale offered.

Rose Stadium has implemented a policy that limits the size and type of bag allowed inside: Only clear totes will be allowed, and are limited to 12- by 6- by 12-inch in size.
