On October 22, 2022, Cathy Richards Penn (72), surrounded by her loving family, peacefully went into the presence of the Lord, to be reunited with all of those whom she had loved and lost, and now will never lose again. She lovingly awaits reunification with her devoted and loving husband of 50 years, Ray Penn, and her beloved children Eric, Wes, Rheagan, and Bryce.

Cathy lived an extraordinary life as a proud graduate of Rusk High School and Texas Christian University where she performed and entertained as a twirler for four years. A life-long educator, Cathy devoted her life as a teacher and principal for decades, with most of her time in the Alto Independent School District and in the Windham School District. She was also an avid sports fan, and a talented jewelry and Christmas stocking maker.

Cathy was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, wife, and mother. Her favorite role, however, was as a grandmother. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and enjoyed nothing more than attending their events.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Ray; son Eric, his wife Ofelia, their children Victor, Adam, and Noah, Harrison, Kenley, and Hutton; son Wes, his wife Jill, their children Jackson and Maddie; daughter Rheagan and her wife Niki; son Bryce, his fiancé Raygan, their son Holden; brothers, sister, and in-laws Debra Richards; Jimmy Richards, his wife Jan; Ricky Richards, his wife Cindy; Robert Penn, his wife Nancye; Rudy Penn, his wife Sue; and Ricky Penn, his wife Paula; nieces and nephews Mike Penn, Elizabeth Keith, Amanda Kellis, Amy Penn, Katie Clifton, Andy Penn, Micah Howell, Misty Richards, and Ashlen Richards Vierra, and Richie Vierra; along with numerous cousins and beloved friends.

Memorial services will be held in her memory at The Chapel at Teaberry Farm 2525 O’Keefe Road Jacksonville, Texas on October 23, 2022, at 3:00 pm. All friends and family are invited to come visit and celebrate her life.
