Eagles take on LaGrange May 13 for area baseball championship

RUSK – The Rusk Eagles baseball squad, having recently secured the Class 4A, Region III bi-district championship, will play LaGrange on May 13 for the area title. Game 1 is set for 5 p.m. Friday at Cypress Falls High School, 15501 Tuckerton Rd. in Houston; Game 2 begins 30 minutes after the first game ends. Game 3, if needed, begins at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Rusk is 15-12 this season, while LaGrange is 11-17-1. It is the second consecutive year the teams have met up for area play.
