’Jackets advance to area play, play May 11 in Nacogdoches

ALTO - The Yellowjackets have advanced to area play, facing the Timpson Bears in the area round of the 2A state baseball playoffs in a one game, winner-takes-all contest that opens at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Nacogdoches High School. Alto has been designated as the home team, with the winner of this match facing the victor of an upcoming match between Centerville-Shelbyville.

The ’Jackets cinched the bi-district title with an 18-1 win over the Normangee Panthers on May 7.
