Gordon B. Overall

A memorial graveside service for Gordon B. Overall, age 84, of Jacksonville is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Clark Ross-Rude Cemetery with Rev. James Dorman officiating.

Mr. Overall passed away December 20, 2021. He was born February 5, 1937 in Dialville, TX, to the late Floyd and Mary Barnes Overall. Mr. Overall was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and was retired from Rusk State Hospital. He served in the United States Navy and loved fishing, collecting Dalmatians, loved anything John Wayne, his Chihuahua babies and bird watching.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Overall; mother, Mary Acker and step-father, Woody Acker. He is survived by his wife, Laura Overall of Jacksonville; son, Clifford Driver of Jacksonville; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Daniel Shields of Jacksonville; brother, Billy Overall of Splendora, TX; two grandsons, Joel Shields and Aleksander Shields of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Jackson of Jacksonville; brothers-in-law, Jay Jackson and Leonard Jackson both of Jacksonville; nephew, Lee Overall of Houston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will include Christina Shields, Daniel Shields, Joel Shields, Aleksander Shields, Cliff Driver, Jay Jackson, Leonard Jackson and Joseph True.

There will be no visitation.
