David Franklin Morris
Funeral services for David Franklin Morris, 71, of Hudson Oaks, Texas will be Thursday, December 9, at 1 p.m. at Christ Chapel Bible Church West Campus in Willow Parks with pastors, Ted Kitchens and Matt Lantz officiating. David passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 in his home after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.
David was born February 11, 1950 in Hope, Arkansas to Annie Louise Russell Morris and Jessie Franklin Morris. He taught English and History nine years and retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years.
David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Brooks Morris (Alto): and sons, Matt Morris (Sarah) and Russ Morris (Heather) of Aledo. He was “Pops” to 6 grandchildren: Lily, Hannah, Truett, Hattie, Brooks and Bryce. He is also survived by sister, Reva Jo Ferris (George), New Braunfels; and nieces Kathy Bundt, New Braunfels and Rosemary Semotan, Everton, Missouri and numerous extended family.
David was preceded in death by his parents; twin sisters, Pauline and Corene Morris; and brother, Carl Franklin Morris.
