Juanita Bernice Dickson

A funeral service for Juanita Bernice Dickson, age 92, of Rusk is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Haines officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Dickson passed away November 8, 2021. She was born December 11, 1928 in Houston, TX. She was a resident of Cherokee County for 44 years, a member of the River of Life Christian Center in Rusk and was a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin S. and Maggie Isabiel Cary, husband, William “Dick” Dickson, and infant daughter, Lori Elaine Dickson. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Cheri Dickson of Jacksonville, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and Howard Watson of Jacksonville, Sheryl and James Hykel of Rusk; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Catherine Potter of Kerrville, TX.

Pallbearers will include Grant Watson, Shon Dickson, Alek Hykel, Brandt Comte, Jamie Proctor and Cedric Denson. An honorary pallbearer will be Rush Dickson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
