Georgia Beatrice Lusk

A memorial service for Georgia Beatrice Lusk, age 79, of Rusk is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Oakland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Hogan officiating.

Ms. Lusk passed away September 1, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 25, 1942 in Rusk to the late Jeff and Evelyn Acker. Ms. Lusk was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and a member of Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. She drove School Bus #52 for Rusk ISD for 30 plus years and also drove a school bus for Maydelle ISD. She loved to crochet and fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Evelyn Acker; husband, Fagan Lusk; brothers, Robert Acker and Ricky Acker. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Danial Plummer of Rusk; son, Rusty Lusk of Spokane, WA; several grandchildren including Stormey Lusk of Palestine, TX, Chris Carson of Elkhart, TX, Raeleigh Plummer of Rusk, Chasity Plummer of Palestine, Scottie Smart of Palestine, Dakoda Lusk of Jacksonville, TX, Nina Lusk of Joshua, TX, Michael Lusk of Jacksonville; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

There will be no visitation.
