Jackie Lee Watson

Funeral services for Jackie Lee Watson, 74 of Rusk, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Rusk, Texas, with Bro. Greg Gunter and Bro. John Emerson officiating.

Mr. Watson peacefully passed after an illness on February 18, 2021. He was born July 30, 1946 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late Joseph and Lavillas Watson. He loved music and played a guitar. His children and grandchildren inherited his musical talent and share it with his church. He was a deacon at Church on the Rock as well as lead worship in the praise band. The only thing he loved more than music was his wife and especially "the Lord Jesus Christ ".

He loved his family and enjoyed bird hunting with his boys. He was an animal lover and spent much time with his dog. He was a very social person and enjoyed his visits to town.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Sharron Watson of Rusk; daughters, Shelley Watson and her daughter Angelica of Rusk and Kelley and her husband Richard Sizemore and their sons Austin and Adam, all of Rusk; brother, Bobby Watson of Irving, Texas, as well as extended family and many very good friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, February 24, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Richard, Austin, and Adam Sizemore, Steve Campbell, George Odom, and Gene Johnson.
